Shayna Pond

President & Co-Founder

Shayna is President and Co-founder of Model Teaching. As a former teacher and administrator with over a decade of experience serving pk- 12 schools, Shayna has helped to build Model Teaching to achieve the goal of making high-quality professional development accessible to all educators. Through Model Teaching, she works to support teachers across the country to develop actionable implementation plans and utilize the right trainings and resources to help improve classroom teaching & student achievement.  Shayna holds a B.S. Degree in Physics from Louisiana State University, a M.S. Degree in Biochemistry from Baylor College of Medicine, and is a certified principal and teacher in the state of Texas.

Adam Pond, Ph.D.

COO, CMO & Co-Founder

As Chief Operating Officer & Chief Marketing Officer Adam’s key responsibilities at Model Teaching include maintaining business systems, marketing operations, finance as well as developing and helping to execute programs, services, and new products for the company. Adam has held management, marketing and operational roles in both large companies such as GE Healthcare and small entrepreneurial companies as well co-founding Action Potential Learning and Model Teaching. Adam holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine and a B.S. in Chemistry from Connecticut State University.

Wendy Lipe

Project Manager & Instructor

Wendy is a Project Manager at Model Teaching. With over 10 years of teaching experience at both the elementary and middle school levels, Wendy is able to apply knowledge from her current third grade teaching position to her role as Project Manager. She develops new course and blog content that is timely and relevant to today’s teaching practices, as well as oversees the development and editing of additional courses from other content writers. This role at Model Teaching allows Wendy to develop high quality professional development for educators that has a direct impact on student achievement. Wendy holds a B.S Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University, with a minor in reading instruction.
