Model Teaching offers great options for Alabama teachers to earn semester credits from accredited universities in order to renew or maintain their teaching certification.
The Alabama State Department of Education encourages certified Alabama teachers to expand their knowledge and instructional skills through continuing education and professional development. Alabama requires teachers to continue their teacher training throughout their careers.
The renewal process includes completing an application and choosing among different options, such as earning academic credits and professional development.

Model Teaching provides continuing education courses through regionally accredited university partners. These credits may be used where applicable to satisfy some of the requirements for license renewal.
