(15 ISBE Clock Hours) This Quick Credit Course will teach you how to design strong and impactful Field Trips for your students. You will learn the important components required for planning and logistics when proposing field trips to your school administration. You will also learn how to build an experience that reinforces content knowledge learned in the classroom, and how to ensure that students are engaged in meaningful lessons and activities throughout the field trip. Examples and ideas are provided throughout the course, and a Field Trip Planning template is included to help you design an effective field trip experience for your students.

Although offered in partnership with NEIU, they do not result in graduate- level or academic credit and cannot be used toward a degree program. These courses are primarily intended for recertification or re-licensure and continuing education for teachers in the state of Illinois.

Northeastern Illinois University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. It is recognized as an approved provider of ISBE clock hours by the state of Illinois.
