(6 Hours) This course will teach participants how to actively monitor students throughout the instructional process and to analyze data collected in order to better support their students. Participants will learn how to determine the purpose of monitoring students through whole group, small group, collaborative, and independent learning activities and will analyze multiple data collection methods for classroom use. Finally, the course will teach participants how to collect data, analyze the data for trends, and regroup students to help better teach mastery of core concepts. At the end of the course participants will build a data collection lesson plan, ready for immediate use in their classroom.
