University Partners

All Model Teaching university partners are regionally accredited universities.  You will receive an official transcript and letter grade verifying your earned semester credits (Academic credits, Graduate-level credits,  semester hours, semester units, etc.) from the university itself.  Model Teaching academic credit courses are specifically designed for teacher re-licensure and salary advancement purposes.

No.  You will NOT need to have access to a classroom or students in order to complete any courses from Model Teaching.  We do structure our courses with a focus on implementation so you may use what you have learned in your classroom if you choose, however, you do not need to actually implement the course content in order to complete the courses.

Yes.  In partnership with Augustana University (AU), you may apply Model Teaching courses towards a Master’s program, saving thousands.

9 credits of coursework through Model Teaching may be applied toward Augustana’s Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree as part of Augustana’s learner-designed concentration.

No. The only fees are your initial Model Teaching registration fee to pay for your desired credits package and then your $70/credit fee once you are ready to request your credits and transcript(s). That’s it!

Once you register, you will have access to all courses included. You may choose any courses you wish to take until you have exhausted your number of credits and complete them at your own pace. Once complete, you may pay for your credits ($70 per credit) and request your transcript.

Though you may request a free unofficial transcript from your university, if you need to request an official transcript to be sent to a location of your choice, there may be a small processing or mailing fee associated with that request. This fee is usually no more than $10- $15.

Yes!  Model Teaching build your own bundle packages allow you to pay for your required credits as quickly or gradually as you wish.  Once you pay the initial registration fee, you may take your courses over the course of 1 year. Choose to pay the $70 per credit fee as you complete your courses or all at once, once you have earned all of your required credits.  Then, once ready, request your full transcript from your chosen university partner.

To abide by seat time requirements for your coursework, a maximum of three credits can be completed in a given week, but you will have the entire semester to complete them if you wish.

You may complete up to 15 credits per semester, per university. If you need more than 15 credits in a semester, please select multiple university-partnered courses when building your bundle package.

If You Require More Than 15 Credits/Semester, We Recommend You:

  1. Spread out your required number of credits over more than 1 academic semester (Spring, Fall, or Summer)

    or

  2. Choose multiple university partners (up to 15 credits per university) when building your bundle package.

Please always check with your school/district/state board of education to confirm how many total credits they will accept in a given semester.

Yes!  You can purchase more bundled credits at any time.  Any credits you purchase will be good for 1 year.

Yes, all university-partnered graduate-level courses will include access to an official transcript and letter grade from the university. Once complete, you will receive information on how to request your transcript.

Please refer to our course menu on this page for a listing of each course. You may click on each course link to view its detailed course page. Within each course page, you will have access to a syllabus that you may download.

Once you purchase your credits package, you will be taken to a registration page where you may enroll in your courses until you have used up all of your credits. You will then be taken to your course dashboard where you may access any of the courses you have enrolled in.

Upon completion of your course, your course work is graded, and your grade is posted to the Model teaching dashboard in approximately 1- 2 business days.

When you are ready to request your credits, you will complete the provided form found within your course module and pay the course credit fees.

Grades are posted to your university in approximately 1- 2 weeks, depending on the university partner, and you will receive instructions from Model Teaching or our university partner on how to then request your transcript(s).

Electronic transcripts are typically available immediately after you receive your email , and paper transcript are typically available after 1- 2 weeks.

Though our university partners can process course credits quickly, we recommend that you complete your coursework at least one month prior to your transcript deadline.

To abide by university seat time requirements for semester credit courses, you can take no more than 3 credits per week.

If you are on a tight timeline, please reach out to us for recommendations on which university partners we recommend to meet your schedule.

We recommend that you allow one month before your deadline from the time you complete your course and pay for your credits.
