Building Simple AI Tools for Teachers:
Methods to Quickly Enhance Your Productivity & Simplify Your Job
In this webinar, you will learn how using AI prompting can save you time on many different teaching tasks, including differentiation and lesson planning. You will learn the concept of the mega prompt and how to use AI specifically to help train other AI tools to produce a better result. You will also look at two specific examples and be provided with 2 dozen additional examples of how AI can help increase your productivity.
Resources Provided With The Webinar
The Differentiation Engine – Mega Prompt
The Simple Differentiation Engine is an AI-powered mega-prompt that allows K-12 educators to instantly create three reading levels from a single text resource. Teachers paste any passage into the prompt, which instructs the AI to act as a curriculum specialist. It generates three versions—below grade level (with shortened sentences, context clues, and vocabulary previews), on grade level, and above grade level (with increased complexity and critical thinking extensions). All versions retain the same core content and key vocabulary, and each includes teacher notes explaining what was changed and why.
The Station Rotation Builder – Mega Prompt
The Station Rotation Builder is an AI mega-prompt that generates a complete 4-station rotation plan from a single learning objective, tailored to a teacher’s class size and available materials. It uses four structured stations—teacher-led, independent practice, collaborative, and hands-on/technology-based—following a gradual release model. The output is a comprehensive 10-component implementation packet that includes detailed station plans, printable student direction cards, a rotation schedule with group assignments, a materials checklist, a student accountability tracker, early-finisher extensions, transition procedures, differentiation modifications for ELL, IEP, and gifted learners, and a teacher facilitation guide.
